Are you writing a thesis or other research paper that can promote sustainability and sustainable development?  Whether you are studying for a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree, Sustainable University offers you the opportunity to receive a financial contribution for such work. Our goal is to support students whose aim is to contribute to the fulfilment of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the goals of the UP Sustainable Development Strategy.

The amount of the grant can be up to CZK 10,000 and you can apply for support throughout the academic year, until the allocated amount from the Sustainable University budget for that year is exhausted. We are happy to help cover costs related to carrying out research, such as: purchasing specialized literature, buying specific materials, costs for fieldwork and data collection, and more.

The contribution is intended for all Palacký University students (for international students, a prerequisite for receiving the grant is the establishment of a Czech bank account listed in STAG). It is primarily intended for final theses that promote sustainability at Palacký University, but all thesis whose topics touch on any of the many areas of sustainability (environmental, social, economic) are welcome. Applications are evaluated by the Sustainable University team based on a point system with a maximum score of 30 points. The evaluation is based on the following criteria: relevance and research contribution (10 points), budget adequacy (10 points), involvement of target groups (3 points), planned outputs (3 points), financial participation, and cost-sharing (4 points). Applications are typically evaluated within 30 days of submission, and the contribution is paid out quarterly in the form of an extraordinary scholarship.
